A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that delivers the result path. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the content of that message and use it to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting systems create routine logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for maintenance and to understand use of the reference pages. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Data Is Used
The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to County and State records portals, library collections, archives, and outside search tools. The privacy terms of those destinations control information submitted there, including information sent through sponsored-result tools.
Who Can Process Data
Providers that host or support the service process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Data Protection
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no accounts, the site does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that this service holds about you. Because little is retained, we can review the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then remove applicable information. Use the Contact page to request that review. South Carolina research did not identify a CCPA-style statewide deletion program for public-record material. Public records held by State, County, or City custodians are outside our control. The South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, S.C. Code Ann. §§ 30-4-10 through -165, including § 30-4-30, governs access to public records; S.C. Code § 30-2-50 separately prohibits using public-body personal information for commercial solicitation directed at a person in the State. Send a correction or suppression request to the original custodian.
